A little bit about me
My name is Sarah and I am a forty-something year old living in the marvellous Midlands of England. In my spare time, I like to explore our local hedgerows searching for wildflowers, grasses and galls, fungi and butterflies. This means I have a tendency to face into parts of a hedge or down into the grass for long periods - and thus to regularly draw bemused or worried looks from passersby. I am also known to inadvertently attract the attention of unhappy car drivers asking me for directions (when the main road is closed) or concerned drivers (of a pensionable age) asking me if I need a lift.
Over the last twelve months, I have walked roughly 1000 miles discovering the delights and wonders of wildflowers in England and Wales and want to share some of my enthusiasm here, with the people who come to visit this website.

Wildflower walks have brought an almost indescribable joy into my life and I aim to convey some of that happiness through my blogs, photos and video clips. I apologise in advance for my sense of humour but make no apology for my love of wildflowers. Happy reading and roaming.
